& Pricing

What payments do you take?

Cash, Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle

Do you have a minimum?

My appointment minimum is $150.

How much will the tattoo cost? (Updated)

It depends! Cost varies depending on size, detail, placement, and of course, the design itself. We'll agree on the price together early on during the booking process and I will put together a design that fits within your budget; There will be no surprises at the end of the appointment.

New Pricing System: My new pricing system is meant to accommodate the longer, multi-session pieces I’ve been working on. Many single session pieces are between 1-4 hours and will remain at the $150/hr tier. Longer sessions, 5 - 9 hours, are in Tier 2. For a piece that takes 9 hours over the course of two sessions will have the first session in Tier 1 and the second session in Tier 2. Sessions beyond this would be in Tier 3.

  • Tier 1: 1-4 hours is $150/hr

  • Tier 2: 5-9 hours is $125/hr

  • Tier 3: 10+ hours is $100/hr

Examples:

  • One 3 hour tattoo session = $450 (Tier 1)

  • One 5 hour tattoo session = $625 (Tier 2)

  • Two 3 hour tattoo sessions = $450 (Tier 1) + $375 (Tier 2) = $825

  • Three 4 hour tattoo sessions = $600 (Tier 1) + $500 (Tier 2) + $400 (Tier 3) = $1500

  • Two 5 hour tattoo sessions = $625 (Tier 2) + $500 (Tier 3) = $1125

Why are tattoos so expensive?

Tattoo pricing is not standardized across the industry. but in general, a tattooer may pay for:

  • Studio/shop rent

  • Educational materials

  • Supplies (almost all of which are single-use)

  • Insurance fees and high government taxes

  • Apprenticeship and licensing fees

  • Accountants, administrative programs, shop assistants, sanitation staff and personal assistance

My pricing reflects how much time I spend drawing, organizing and emailing as well as the amount of time I spend with you at the appointment.

Something to consider is that you are purchasing a piece of art that you will carry with you quite possibly forever! Which for many collectors, factors into how much they are willing to pay.

What's with tipping?

It's not at all expected, but it's appreciated! Clients generally tip 20% of the final price.
